The 4th edition of Miss Earth Uganda that was launched in Uganda this year at Kalifah Suites in Bugolobi has 18 contestants after tough auditions that screened off most girls.

Contestants from 18 regions of Uganda will go through a series of activities in the boot camp that is to last for two weeks at Crystal International School. Activities like NFA tree seed training, hiking in Mabira forest to promote eco-tourism, recycling activities and wildlife conservation and children activities at Ngamba Chimpanzee Sanctuary.

“The boot camp is meant to teach the contestants what Miss Earth pageant is all about.” Kyamagero Andrew the public relations said. “The winner will represent Uganda in Miss Earth International that is to be held in Manila Philippines on 29th October 2016.

On 28th August there will be a national costume event for the contestants at Crystal International School in Bugolobi. On 3rd September there will be finals or coronation to be held at Theatre Labonita and the three contestants will be crowned that is Miss Earth Uganda, Miss Earth Fire and Miss Earth Air.
