State Minister for Public Service and MP Kigorobya County, Hon. Karubanga David has donated an ambulance to Kigorobya Health Centre four in Hoima district.
“This is in fulfilment of my 2016 campaign pledge after realizing that mothers and children were dying due to lack of reliable transportation for patients to Hoima Regional Referral Hospital.” Hon. Karubanga noted.
The ambulance branded “Donated by Area MP” was handed over to the community under the witness of the local and district leaders at Kigorobya health center.

While handing it over the ambulance, Hon. Karubanga promised to take care of its driver’s salary, fuel and maintenance.
Hon. Karubanga urged Kigorobya people to work as team to ensure continuous development of our country.
John Steven Ekomu, the RDC Hoima applauded Hon. Karubanga for supplementing government programs aimed at offering quality health services.

Dr. Nicholas Kwikiriza said the ambulance will address the maternal and infant mortality. He however expressed concern over limited staffing at the facility.

James Mugenyi Mulindambura, the district secretary for health and education asked the community to keep good sanitation in order to reduce wide spread of hygiene related diseases.
