The anticipation for the 16th edition of Blankets and Wine is building up as DStv, the leading video entertainment company has further extended its partnership with this incredible social event slated for 30th April 2017 at Lugogo Cricket Oval. Unlike previous editions this time around children will enter the venue free of charge (before 2.30pm) courtesy of DStv. The ‘tots’ have more reason to smile as the Pay TV brand has pledged to completely overhaul the kids play area so that the kids can have a memorable experience in the DStv kid’s village. Children can braise themselves for exciting activities including sing along activities with Mickey and Minnie, face painting, puzzle challenges, a bouncing castle and a pinyata.

Phoebe Nakabazzi, marketing manager DStv also confirmed that the brand has all round activities for adults as well. She stated ‘We shall have an exclusive tent for our esteemed subscribers. We plan on submerging them in the world of entertainment seeing as the 30th April is jam packed with exciting content on our platform including Formula 1 and the Premier league. All this entertainment will be screened in our tent for our subscribers to enjoy’.

Nakabazzi added ‘We would also like to introduce our fantastic application called DStv Now that permits our active premium subscribers to enjoy television on their phones, on the GO. This application speaks to the changing lifestyle of our clients who have become increasing dependent on their mobile phones for everything – be it information, entertainment and education. So this application addresses that. We will partner with ROKE telecom to provide data services for our customers to download and test the amazing features of our app’.

DStv will also be showcasing its High Definition Decoder – the Explora to its clientele and demonstrating its appealing features i.e. its ability to pause, rewind, forward live television to validate to customers how their high end product has revolutionized the TV viewing experience.

DStv continues boost the sought after Blankets and Wine event, amplifying entertainment by bringing showbiz closer to life for the fans.
